Who Wants Pasta? 10 Easy and Delicious Top-Pinned Pasta Recipes

Who doesn’t love pasta? I love it so much I even have a Pinterest board called I Love Pasta. While I was looking for something to make for dinner, I found these delicious looking pasta dishes that each had been repinned over 50,000 times! It’s hard to even imagine. I kept pinning them as I found them and decided to try all 10 of these recipes over the next few weeks. I thought you might like to choose one to make for your own dinner tonight so here they are.

The rule of thumb when cooking pasta is to use 6 quarts of water and 3 tablespoons of salt for each pound of pasta. It’s the only chance you’ll get to flavor the pasta itself so don’t forget the salt.

In case you’re wondering what I ended up making for dinner, I made the Tomato Spinach Chicken Spaghetti. It was light but filling – a perfect dinner with a salad and piece of garlic bread.

Delicious for dinner and even better the next day! One of the commenters on the site said she substituted shrimp for the chicken.

Pasta with Roasted Red Pepper Sauce

This one is from the Pioneer Woman. She replicated this vegetarian recipe from a dish she had in a restaurant in Los Angeles. You can char and steam your own red peppers or, if time is tight, use the jarred peppers.

Tortellini with Pesto & Roasted Veggies

A meatless meal in a bowl. You can add more veggies if you’d like, or substitute different veggies. Whatever your family likes. Good way to get the kids to eat their vegetables.

Serve this as a cold salad or warmed up for dinner. Either way it’s delicious.

5. Creamy Garlic Pasta

Adding some chicken or shrimp to this would make it more filling and give you some bonus protein. Also, in the recipe’s list of ingredients it says 1.2 cups of heavy cream but it should be 1/2 cup.

Use ripe summer tomatoes for this one. And speaking of ripe tomatoes, never put them in the refrigerator. According to this article, “storing a tomato at room temperature (68º F) allows it to maintain its existing volatiles (substances that give it its flavor) as well as produce more of them”. So when you put them in the frig at 39º it destroys a lot of those volatiles and leaves you with a tasteless tomato.

7. Homemade Spaghetti Sauce

Great to make on weekdays when you don’t have a lot of time to cook. You can substitute ground turkey for the beef to make it a bit healthier, or leave the meat out altogether.

8. Lightened Up Margherita Pasta

Another 30 minute dish that’s great to make on a weekday. This recipe uses a roux instead of heavy cream to save some calories.

9. Crock Pot Spaghetti & Vegetables (vegan)

Be aware that this isn’t the kind of crock pot recipe where you can start it before leaving for work and come back to a cooked dinner. Total cooking time for this recipe is only 1 1/2 hours.
